Share Your Story Project
While you’re home take time to Share Your Story and exercise your video production skills. Read on for story ideas and project requirements. You can also watch some of the great videos that have been created so far.
Story Ideas
+ You are living history – create a short documentary about the Coronavirus and how you and your family are dealing with it.
+ Research and produce a PSA about how to stay safe from germs.
+ Teach viewers how to make a food item that your family enjoys.
+ Research a science experiment and teach viewers about your findings.
+ Teach a math problem and how to solve it.
+ Write and share a creative short story with drawings or animation.
Equipment
Have a phone with a camera? Then you’re set to record and Share Your Story. Get creative by using books to hold your camera in place and start shooting. You can also use a webcam, or anything that records video.
Editing
Most phones have an app that can be downloaded to edit your video. If you have a computer and internet access, you can use WeVideo to edit your video: wevideo.com
Copyright Cleared Resources
As with any video, you need to use copyright cleared resources (video, images, music) so that your story can be shared on cable and online. For music, Incompetech is available for free as long as you credit them in the video.
