The Blue Line Special
We join a trainload of VIPs as they take a ceremonial first ride on RT’s newly opened 4.3-mile-long Blue Line extension from Meadowview Road station to Cosumnes River College.
The Blue Line extension will for the first time connect Los Rios’ Sacramento City and Cosumnes River colleges, at a time when the number of Los Rios students who attend more than one college is growing dramatically. We expect this extension to be a great benefit for Los Rios, the community and the environment, as fewer cars will be on the road and more take advantage of the new parking structure at CRC and commute via light rail between the two colleges.
