When Christine and Gary Weske met at Mira Loma High School in 1968, they had no idea that they would end up together. However, one school dance changed everything for the two teens.
They were both part of student government – he was student body president and quarterback of the football team, while she was the student body secretary.
It was Gary’s senior year and he asked Christine to his homecoming dance and from that moment on, the two were inseparable. Soon after, they started dating. They attended college together at Sacramento State and married soon after. The Weskes have three children and one grandchild. Last year, they celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Fifty years hasn’t changed the way they feel about each other.
“He will still tell you, I make him laugh and I talk way too much and I will tell you he is still the kindest most sincere man I have ever met! Time may change our appearance but our souls remain the same,” Christine Weske said.
