SEVA 2016 – PSA 9-12 Winner – A Single Drop
SEVA Award
Public Service Announcement (PSA): 9-12
Program Title: A Single Drop
Producers: Isaac Cortes
School: Franklin High School
Target Audience: The General Public
Program Idea: My animation teacher, Mr. Clark, gave me an assignment to create a PSA some select local PSA contests. I chose to do one for the regional water authority water spots video contest, as it correlated well with an idea I had that would look great in a 2d animated form. From there I storyboarded, designed characters, and animated for the video for the next term during class and during other terms during my lunches.
Message: The educational message I tried to convey through this video was the idea that every drop of water matters. Every drop of water goes through a long and massive journey to reach our homes and by doing simple actions like fixing pipes and not letting water go to waste can help make sure that the journey was worth it.
