Lights Out PSA – Director’s Cut
SEVA Award
Creative Expression: K-3
Program Title: Lights Out PSA – Director’s Cut
Producers: Hayden Williams-Moran
School: Creative Connections Arts Academy
Target Audience: Anyone with a darker sense of humor
Program Idea: Well, this actually started out as my PSA movie, and I really got into making it. Unfortunately, no one noticed the 30-second time limit until this Monday. I’d worked so hard on this, that I decided to keep this version of the PSA, instead of my Toy Story commercial, for this category.
Message: Sometimes, the dark can be scary, even if its not that dark. Leaving the lights on helps us feel safer, even if grown ups don’t understand and it made me crazy. I had an idea to make a scary film about always being told to turn off the lights. I wanted to tell people to turn off the lights but I didn’t want my movie to be boring.
