SEVA Award
Creative Expression: 9-12
Program Title: Shattered
Producer: Andres Garcia
School: Franklin High School
Target Audience: Teens
Program Idea: My intent for this film was to convey the severity of consequences that can happen if one chooses to text and drive. Nowadays, I see a lot of people being distracted by the constant need to be on their phones and in this film that constant need to be on the phone carries onto the main premises of the film which is to demonstrate how the distraction of being on the phone while driving is extremely dangerous and can often be fatal. When I see statistics that show the numbers of lives that are lost annually due to this problem, I knew I had to speak on it and chose to do it by film as I too have been put at risk due to texting and driving.
Message: My intent for this film was to convey the severity of consequences that can happen if one chooses to text and drive.
