Program Idea: This year is the 40th year of our school opening. We knew our school was named after Florence Markofer, but we did not know much more than that. At first, we were going to just do something on the school, but then we found out our custodian was her great niece. We got a lot of pictures and people that knew her to come in and share stories. We decided to make a documentary about her instead of the school.
Message: We hope that you learn what a kind person our school was named after. She was the first living person to have a school named after her in our district. She loved our school and spent a lot of time with the staff and kids. We wanted everyone to know the stories and history of the person our school was named after.
