Held annually each spring, the event showcases student educational videos to the Sacramento community and beyond. Called the student “Academy Awards of Sacramento,” the event represents a year-long media production effort for over 1000 students from over 50 schools throughout the Sacramento region. Statuettes are awarded to the top educational videos submitted in five categories (Creative Expression, Documentary, Instructional, Public Service Announcements, and School News) spread across all grade levels – from Kindergarten to College.
About SECC
SECC’s mission is to provide quality educational resources to learners of all ages in the greater Sacramento community primarily through video and other information and communication technologies via cable systems and networks. SECC is a collaborative effort of the K-20 education community all working together toward this mission.
