The SEVA Studio at Oak Hill Elementary School is a dual purpose studio. Its main use is for the recording of Otter Outlook, Oak Hill’s news program, but it is also used for the creation of SEVA videos. Media students at Oak Hill have the opportunity to participate in one of the programs, or both! To keep a program like this going you need a dynamic group of teachers and Oak Hill happens to have some of the best. Susan Erickson, Katie Edwards, Patrick Muldoon and Marci Phillips work closely together to help these media students create award winning videos and newscasts. Each teacher has their own important and unique role that compliments the others and allows them to work together as one. The collaboration and teamwork that happens at this school is unlike any other. But it doesn’t stop there! These teachers have also created relationships with the local high school teacher which encourages their students to set their eyes on the long term and gives them the opportunity to pursue media after they graduate from elementary school.
